Yuval Naor’s installation consists of readymades, with three stadium seats at the center, brightly illuminated. The bleacher seats were recently used in the Teddy Stadium, and were replaced over the summer to meet higher international standards. The discarded seats were repurposed to be revived under the same roof. In the installation they became the habitat of the common weed known as Bermuda Grass, creating a somewhat pastoral yet neglected environs. The installation changes during the exhibition to open a new portal between the Stadium and the New Gallery, creating movement between past and future, and between local space and the dream of globalism.
